Challenges you
Hydrauvision is a specialist and leader in drive technology. We operate worldwide as a versatile, full-service provider of hydraulic and electric drives. We design, manufacture, maintain, overhaul, and rent hydraulic systems and piping to numerous industrial companies, international dredging and offshore contractors, civil engineering companies, and other industries where drive technology plays a role. These companies find in Hydrauvision the partner for whom no challenge is too great.
You can only be and remain a leader if you work with high-quality materials, are constantly ambitious and eager to learn, and stay focused on the most optimal solution for your customers. At Hydrauvision, we set the bar high. We challenge ourselves to think outside the box and be alert to new opportunities and possibilities. Innovations begin with us, and the best end products come from us. This is how we are and remain the leading specialist in complete hydraulic and electric drive systems and associated controls.
The projects we work on vary widely in nature, size, and complexity. We can not only design, install, commission, and maintain innovative mega-projects, but also provide periodic maintenance for hydraulic machinery and overhaul or repair drive systems and components. And by "we," we mean our employees. They are the ones with the technical knowledge and expertise. They combine high-quality engineering with inventiveness, perseverance, and the drive to serve every customer as best as possible. They are Hydrauvision.
We could tell you a lot about our employees. About how motivated they are, the challenges and opportunities we offer them, and how we interact with each other at Hydrauvision. But we'd rather let them tell you for themselves what working at Hydrauvision means to them. "The company's versatility is what really appeals to me," says Service Technician Glenn Verbeke. "Where I work, in new construction, we tailor everything to the customer's needs. Power packs and winches, for example, water transport systems, and all sorts of other hydraulic solutions. These are often large, powerful systems. That makes it even more enjoyable."
Glenn started working at Hydrauvision right after completing his Mechanical Engineering studies. “I had already completed an internship and a summer job at Hydrauvision. I enjoyed it so much that when I was offered a job after my final internship, I didn't hesitate. There's so much going on within this company, and you can truly grow in all directions. Engineering, service, purchasing/sales, new construction, maintenance. Hydrauvision gives you the opportunity to gain experience and offers training programs to further your development. I'd like to progress to Commissioning Engineer. Hydrauvision is helping me achieve this. The work I'm doing now, creating and testing new systems, is already fantastic, but then I get to put them into operation on-site. Often that's abroad. That sounds fantastic.”
Everything Glenn and his colleagues build is designed in Hydrauvision's engineering department. This is where they originate from, from innovative new construction projects to optimizations and expansions of existing hydraulic systems. "I enjoy innovative new construction projects the most," says Simulation Engineer Johnny Wang. "In those projects, you have maximum freedom of thought and design. Something doesn't exist yet, so you really have to think outside the box, and that's incredibly motivating. It's always exciting to see how you can arrive at the best possible solutions. Before I started working here, I had no idea how extensive the scope of systems is or what's possible in the design. Now, my biggest challenge is to consistently assemble the best drive systems from all these options."
As a Simulation Engineer, Johnny recreates parts of a system on the computer and identifies areas for improvement in the design. "This also applies to existing systems. The challenge there is to figure out how to optimize and/or expand a system. I don't come up with all of this on my own, but with the entire engineering team. We brainstorm various options together and develop them, each with their own expertise. A project is always approached from all disciplines, such as control engineering, hydraulics, and mechanics, and together we create the best possible drive system, specifically tailored to the customer's needs and process."
While designing and building complete hydraulic system solutions requires teamwork, we give all our employees individual freedom and responsibility. Johnny explains: “It's fun to work on exciting projects with colleagues from different disciplines who think differently than you. But everyone has their own tasks, and that works very efficiently. At Hydrauvision, you have a lot of freedom. I can decide how I do my work. And if I ever need to brainstorm, I can quickly turn to my colleagues and manager. Everyone here is very easygoing, and the atmosphere is informal. That promotes collaboration and makes working here a great experience.”
The icing on the cake for many Hydrauvision employees is the final result. The mechanics see this final result every day, and the engineers are also involved. Johnny: “The best part of the job is seeing a project come to life. Seeing what you envisioned become reality. Whether it's a small but significant improvement in the efficiency of an existing hydraulic system or an innovative technology for a multi-million dollar project that allows for major sustainability improvements, it's a collaborative effort. I regularly receive feedback from my colleagues on the shop floor. Hearing from them that they and the customer are happy because everything is working well is incredibly satisfying.”
At Hydrauvision, we take on the challenge every day to create even better, more efficient, and more sustainable systems. We challenge you to join us in this challenge.
