About us
Damen Shiprepair Amsterdam is part of the Damen Shiprepair and Conversion Group. The organisation is characterised by modern business operations that put the customer first and enable us to efficiently anticipate market conditions. The shipyard has all the facilities needed to offer our customers a full package of services. Damen Shiprepair Amsterdam repairs various types of vessels up to 250 metres long. We employ 100 people and, depending on the workload, we can hire in additional help on a flex basis.

Op de werf zijn alle faciliteiten aanwezig om onze klanten een full service pakket te bieden. Damen Shiprepair Amsterdam repareert uiteenlopende typen schepen tot een lengte van 250 meter. Wij werken met 120 medewerkers in vaste dienst en, afhankelijk van het werkaanbod, een flexibele schil van inleenpersoneel. Voor onze vestiging zijn wij op zoek naar een Voorman Lasser.
The role
Binnen deze functie houd je je bezig met het voorbereiden, uitvoeren en controleren van de werkzaamheden en geef je leiding aan 4 tot max. 10 lassers. Je bepaalt de optimale werkvolgorde, aantal medewerkers, materialen en gereedschappen. Centraal staat het sturen op productie en de kwaliteit. Waar nodig werk je ook mee, zodat je je laskwaliteiten op peil kunt houden.

Newbuild
Damen has delivered more than 6,500 vessels in 100 countries and delivers some 175 vessels annually to customers worldwide. Damen’s focus on standardisation, modular construction and keeping vessels on stock leads to short delivery times, low total cost of ownership and reliable performance. We offer a wide range of products including tugs, naval and patrol vessels, high speed craft, ferries, dredging, offshore vessels and superyachts.
Shiprepair & conversion
Damen Shiprepair & Conversion (DSC) has a worldwide network of 18 repair and conversion yards with drydocks ranging up to 420 x 80 metres. DSC yards have extensive experience – completing more than 1,300 projects every year, from normal drydockings for scheduled maintenance to damage repair, right up to extensive refit and conversion projects.
Services
Being active in the maritime industry demands continuous vessel reliability. For nearly all vessel types Damen offers a broad range of services, including maintenance, spare parts delivery, training and the transfer of shipbuilding know-how.
Components
Damen is also specialised in the design and production of various marine components including propeller nozzles, rudders, special towing winches, anchors, anchor chains and steel works.
