Function Description

At iPS Powerful People, we are proactively building a pool of skilled Offshore Mechanics for upcoming offshore projects worldwide. This is not a vacancy for a specific project—it's a talent campaign designed to engage with highly qualified mechanical professionals who are ready to mobilize when the right opportunity becomes available.



As an Offshore Mechanic, you will play a key role in ensuring the operational reliability of onboard equipment, supporting safe and efficient vessel or platform operations. Your mechanical expertise keeps critical systems running smoothly—even in tough offshore conditions.

 

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Performing preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical systems (pumps, engines, compressors, hydraulics, rotating equipment, etc.)
  • Troubleshooting mechanical faults and conducting repairs to minimize downtime
  • Ensuring all mechanical work complies with safety procedures and industry standards
  • Monitoring equipment performance and reporting potential failures
  • Maintaining accurate maintenance logs and documentation
  • Assisting with mechanical upgrades, overhauls, and commissioning activities 

Requirements

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an Offshore Mechanic, or similar technical offshore role
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, engines, and related equipment
  • Valid STCW certificates
  • Valid offshore medical and BOSIET/FOET
  • Familiarity with safety protocols, mechanical standards, and offshore operational procedures
  • UK Work Permit
