SUMMARY OF THE ROLE

  • Lead Engineer
  • € 5.000 - € 8.000 gross per month (depending on experience) 
  • Location Breda, The Netherlands

As a Lead Engineer, Mammoet offers you a challenging position within an international, dynamic, and ever-changing organization. With your vast in-depth technical knowledge, experience in heavy lift projects and strong leadership skills, you are leading the technical engineering scope of projects. As a Lead Engineer you are part of our multi-disciplinary engineering department within Mammoet. Our engineering departments, based in Breda and Schiedam, provide local, regional and global engineering support.


WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

From your role as Lead Engineer, you have the opportunity to make an important contribution to local, regional and global projects. Your technical knowledge, leadership skills, analytical ability and organizational talent play an important role in this.

  • Leading the technical engineering scope of projects;
  • Check and approve engineering documents, verify if the right methods and/or equipment have been used;
  • Liaising with internal and external clients to ensure the requirements are met;
  • Coordinating planning, organization and implementation;
  • Finding smart ways to overcome project challenges;
  • Ensuring all engineering scopes are aligned, understand the relation between these scopes and act on it.
  • Regularly traveling to our head office in Schiedam to meet with the Engineering team located there.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering or Automotive Engineering;
  • 8 years of broad and deep engineering experience in the heavy lift industry including international job site experience for multiple years;
  • Advanced understanding of heavy lift equipment (SPMT’s, jacking, skidding and gantry systems) and operations;
  • Project Management skills and/or experience with an open and communicative attitude;
  • Good written and verbal English communication skills;
  • Willingness to travel as per project’s requirement;
  • Computer skills must include AutoCAD, FEM Software and Microsoft Office.
