With the expansion of our operations to a heavy transport fleet of 6 vessels in 2026, BigLift is looking for a Cargo Superintendent to play a crucial role in this exciting growth phase.

What will you be doing:

As a Cargo Superintendent you will be part of a team of specialists on a variety of projects ranging from transportation of large container cranes, multiple shipments of offshore substations as tall as apartment buildings across rough oceans, to loading large oil rigs and everything in between. Every transport requires detailed preparations, calculations and analysis. Challenges may include on-the-limit deck capacities, operating in remote areas, space utilization, ensuring structural integrity of both ship and cargo and designing optimal sea fastenings. Together with the team you will prepare the full project plan, communicate with the client, obtain approval by surveyors and make sure that all project documentation, and logistics are arranged. You will be the first point of contact for all stakeholders on site, together with the team you will be responsible to perform the project safely and efficiently while achieving high client satisfaction.

What do we ask:

• A heavy transport expert with a good safety attitude, who is not afraid to think outside of the box and to take responsibility for the execution of complex projects.
• A Master’s or Bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years of relevant work experience in the maritime or offshore industry.
