We are seeking a proactive and skilled Medior Cyber Security Officer to join our Rijeka team. This role is pivotal in safeguarding both physical and digital assets, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations such as GDPR and NIS2. You will collaborate closely with IT, HR, and facility stakeholders to maintain a secure and resilient operational environment.
· Ensure compliance with security standards and assist in internal/external audits.
· Taking care of monthly, quarterly and yearly security reviews
· Conduct regular risk assessments and penetration tests to identify vulnerabilities and recommend corrective actions. Enforce security policies, procedures, and guidelines in alignment with industry best practices and company objectives.
· Monitor and analyze security alerts, ensuring timely detection and escalation of potential threats. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement improvements based on review findings, and proactively recommend enhancements to existing security controls.
· Support on cybersecurity initiatives including incident response, vulnerability assessments, and endpoint hardening.
· Lead awareness campaigns and serve as the primary contact for security-related matters.
· Maintain documentation and reporting.
· Bachelor’s degree in IT, Security Management, or related field.
· 3–5 years of experience in a security or infrastructure role.
· Certifications such as SSCP, CISSP are preferred.
· Familiarity with Microsoft and Palo Alto technologies, Active Directory, and MDM tools.
