Senior Engineer - Control and Automation
The role:
As a Senior Engineer - Control and Automation, you become a key member of our Custom Engineering department within the PLC/SCADA team, which consists of 12 talented colleagues. You’ll work on advanced and innovative dredging projects—ranging from dredging vessels to cutting-edge simulators in a friendly and collaborative environment. In most projects you’ll join forces with a Project Manager, Lead Engineer, and fellow engineers. Your main focus will be on programming and developing technical designs, but you’ll also have the freedom to innovate by creating new functionalities and standards. This role offers you the opportunity to mentor junior colleagues, and if you’re ambitious, a future Lead position could be the next step in your career.

As a Senior Engineer - Control and Automation, you will:
In this role, you will be responsible for designing, programming, and testing control and automation software that monitors, processes, and measures systems in dredging operations. You will develop and code applications that integrate and optimize control systems, drafting detailed functional specifications to guide your work. Additionally, you will configure and implement user interfaces using SCADA packages, ensuring seamless integration with PLC systems—such as those from Allen-Bradley or equivalent technologies—into the overall system architecture. You will set up comprehensive system configurations and conduct thorough testing with simulation tools, ensuring robust performance across projects. Whether you are focused on a single project or juggling multiple assignments simultaneously, your work will drive the success of our advanced maritime and simulator initiatives.

Selection process:
After your application, a CV screening will take place. If your profile aligns sufficiently, a brief telephone intake with the Corporate Recruiter will follow. If not, you will be informed via email. The selection process consists of two interview rounds. The first interview will be with the manager and a direct colleague. During the second interview, another manager and someone from HR will join. If everyone is enthusiastic, a phone call will follow to discuss the terms of employment.
